Philosophy of Care

Presence first. Belief second.

I spent my first career behind a different kind of camera. After earning a degree in Radio, Television, and Film from California State University, Long Beach, I worked as a television camera operator and field sound mixer for networks including Fox Sports West, MTV, and 20/20. By most measures, I'd made it — but underneath the success was a growing emptiness, one that led me to a spiritual search and, eventually, to a non-denominational Christian church where I found real meaning.

I kept working in television as my faith deepened. After moving to San Diego, I joined a church active in community chaplaincy, supporting first responders alongside a dedicated team, and trained there as a community chaplain. Over the next thirteen years, I served as associate pastor, earned my Master of Arts in Pastoral Studies at Azusa Pacific University, and put my television background to work helping the church launch live webcasting.

That path led me into full-time hospital chaplaincy, where I became a Board Certified Chaplain after completing Clinical Pastoral Education through the Association of Professional Chaplains. What I saw there stayed with me: spiritual care reaches people across every background, often when nothing else does — and the need is especially acute among hospital and healthcare staff, who carry enormous weight with almost no support built for them. That's what led me to build this practice: my media background and my chaplaincy training, brought together to make real spiritual care reachable, wherever you are. Real people. Real support.
